My original website will be expiring TOMORROW. I see one order just snuck through but I am hoping I don’t miss anything between now and tomorrow. Please use this new site (www.dareinspired.com) to make any orders and eventually both domain names will take you do this store. Phew!

The transition from order via text message to ordering via website is going to take some time but hopefully it pays off in the end. Why change? It occurred to us that we could offer more function and usability to our customers. For 3 years now, I have fulfilled orders via text message – it has looked a bit like this:

“Hi, I got your info from ____. I need a last minute gift for my friend’s cousin’s boyfriend. I actually need it tomorrow. Can you help me?”

“Sure thing.” I’d say, sending them a photo of some cups and water bottles in stock.

We’d go back and forth with details, I’d finish their order and they’d come by the house to pick it up. It would usually take more time going back and forth with them, waiting for them to respond to which type face they liked, then approving the layout, than it would to actually complete etch on the cup.

So, this is my attempt to make things a little more streamline. Posting options upfront and allowing customers to make their choices all at once so I can create their product in one fell swoop… I don’t want this to come at the expense of human interaction, though. So, if you’re one of those who have been placing orders via text for the last few years, know that I’m still here.
