Hi! Learn Italian with me through themed immersive play! My name is Alexis (Lexi), or in Italy, Ale. When I was 16, I spent a year of high school abroad in Italy hosted by an incredible family. So incredible, in fact, that my children now call them Nonna and Nonno, and they call me their daughter. Because I grew up in a town offering little (zero) in terms of Italian language preparation, I learned Italian the good old fashioned way – the immersive “sink or float” method.

While a bit overwhelming at first, I believe immersion is the best way to learn, but with a few tweeks. Instead of broad immersion where exposure topics would be endless, my approach in teaching Italian will be themed. We’ll use demonstration, active participation, and repetition of a smaller pool of vocabulary during each meet-up. Your child will be engaged and start practicing their new words with me immediately.
